TBM Consulting led two informational sessions on Improving Service Shop Profitability and Enabling Growth.

Large equipment sales and service dealers are increasingly using operational excellence to improve performance and support the growth agenda. TBM Consulting Group will lead an informational discussion at this year's CAT Dealer Finance Conference on Improving Service Shop Profitability and Enabling Growth.

Dealer executives co-presented success stories of specific dealer improvement initiatives in a session hosted by TBM Client Manager, Jonathan Wheatley. Paul Tombrello, the CFO of Thompson Tractor Co., Inc., and Stephen Wells, Vice President, F,P, & A, Carolina Tractor and Equipment, Co., moderated the session and shared perspectives on their journeys to better service shop profitability, achieving profitable growth through process and space optimization, delaying significant capital expenditures, management system implementation, and bolstering employee engagement and morale.

Highlights from TBM’s session:

  • Large equipment sales and service dealers, like so many other businesses, continue to struggle with labor and supply chain issues that can hinder profitable growth.
  • Where other solutions have failed, operational excellence initiatives have consistently delivered results, helping companies optimize resources and productivity to hit their numbers.
  • Strategies like space optimization, change readiness assessments, and daily management best practices are tools companies can leverage now to tap the hidden capacity and productivity within existing resources.
