POSITION SUMMARY:

The international marketing manager is a global marketing role. This person will lead the development and execution of tailored marketing strategies and plans focused in Europe, while supporting Latin America and Asia Pacific when needed.  Marketing strategy and plans will be designed to help generate leads for the international business development teams and support the sales management process. This strategic marketing role requires strong background in planning, broad marketing disciplines and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled marketer with a professional services background and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, responsive and results-oriented environment.  You must be willing to work closely with numerous stakeholder teams to grow our global marketing capabilities.  The position works in a matrix organization, reporting directly to the Vice President of Europe while aligning with the U.S.  Marketing team. Expected allocation of time in the international regions are as follows :  85% Europe / 10% Latin America/5% Asia Pacific.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify growth opportunities by understanding each market’s audience, the competitive landscape, and market trends to help differentiate TBM from competitors in the operational consulting market within each market.
  • Oversee the development of regional marketing plans and budgets with a focus on brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with practice leaders and regional leaders to adapt capabilities and service offerings into compelling marketing messages and value propositions that make sense for each region.
  • Collaborate with regional leader to plan the quarterly thought leadership editorial calendar to convey the firm’s capabilities and point of view.
  • Partners with regional leaders to create market-specific content or to evaluate and adapt / modify firm-level content for local market fit.
  • Identify and prioritize case studies to be developed that will resonate with executive level audiences.
  • Oversee the development of regional interactive and digital marketing strategies to include plans for localized search engine optimization (SEO), paid search, digital advertising and social media.
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to ensure that each region has the processes and tools to support new business with relevant, updated presentations and proposals.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices among regional marketing managers.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate marketing programs and initiatives to track, measure and report on key metrics.

Related Experience

  • Experience working in an international marketing role
  • Marketing experience, preferably in business to business, professional services
  • Experience / exposure to manufacturing industries is a plus
  • Online marketing platforms: Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instragram, Campaigns
  • Tech savy in the extracting and analyzing of sales and marketing data

Minimum Number of Years of Experience

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience
  • 1-2 years management experience preferred

Education / Licensure / Certification

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Advanced degree in business management (MBA), desirable.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Background in marketing communications, brand management, campaign development, digital marketing including experience with website, social media, email marketing, and marketing automation, collateral development, copy writing, event management, marketing research, competitive analysis, and budget management.
  • Familiarity with business process improvement, lean, and six sigma preferred.
  • Basic understanding of P&L statements and balance sheet; understands which levers drive improvement on financial statements.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work with Asia Pacific and North America time zones.
  • Excellent business writing skill is necessary.
  • Analytical thinking, ability to work in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of salesforce.com

  • The primary language is English.
  • Secondary languages: Dutch, German, Spanish are a plus
  • Willing to travel 10-20%, international travel required
  • Ability to work remotely and outside of scheduled business hours- due to interaction with international teams.
