improvement in the business processes of process companies

Business Process Kaizen

Business Process Kaizen is a five-day, action-oriented improvement activity conducted at your company, focused on a specific business process or office issue. The Kaizen team (there may be more than one), led by a TBM LeanSigma® Business Process consultant, consists of your colleagues who are involved the process, plus others from different departments and management levels. This cross-functional make-up helps stimulate creativity and maintain an objective focus.

Day One consists of training on concepts and tools the team will be using that week, such as LeanSigma, Lean Business Processes and Business Process Kaizen. Once training has been completed and areas identified for improvement, the team basically spends the rest of the week in action, immersed in the process and making immediate improvements.

At the end of the week – and it’s amazing to see – the team has reconfigured and streamlined the process, dramatically reducing lead time and cutting costs – all without layoffs or additional investment.
