Eduardo Spina has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations. Eduardo is the Vice President of International Operations. He oversees TBM’s international presence in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.


Prior to taking over TBM’s international business, he was instrumental in expanding TBM’s footprint in Brazil, Mexico and into other parts of South America.  He has deep experience in automotive, mining, construction, railway, aerospace, food & beverage, packaging equipment and other industrial manufacturing industries.

Prior to joining TBM, Eduardo was vice president of operations for SICA Electrical Products Co. in Argentina. He also spent 18 years in the automotive division of American Standard, a division of Westinghouse, where he held progressively responsible roles in engineering, R&D, and operations. He played an integral role in moving innovative brake technologies from Germany to Brazil.

Ed has consulted with many clients including: McCain Foods, Bunge, Sealy, Hubbell, Comex, Mann-Hummell, Matthews International, Mercedes Benz, Chrysler, and Ford. Eduardo speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish, English, and German. He can communicate Italian and French.

He trained in the Toyota Production System with regional disciples from Taichi Ohno and learned directly from Itawa and Nakao.

Eduardo has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Campinas and University of São Paulo in Brazil.
